The division advances patient care with diagnostic solutions to improve disease detection and management, and simplify laboratory operations.SummaryThis position is a key role leading a team that directly impacts key success factors for the North American Diagnostic business, balancing high service levels to external/internal customers and financial risk management. Facilitates Supply Chain Planning/Buying activities, leads the North American S&OP processes, and serves as the supply chain subject matter expert for guiding solutions to business problems and initiatives. The position drives decision-making related to Reagents, Parts, Instrument planning and inventory purchases.Primary Responsibilities for Role

Leads Americas planning function for Diagnostic business

Manages portfolio planning responsibilities for all Grifols Diagnostics products, including instruments, reagents and spares

Manages the directs activities, output and career development for 2-3 supply chain professionals

Metrics driven - establishes and improves processes designed to enhance supply chain performance

Demonstrates solid ownership of complex business issues, develops recommendations, gains functional alignment, and makes recommendations

Leads monthly Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP)

Leads S&OP processes and meetings with key cross-functional interactions (Commercial, Marketing, Finance, Sales, Technical Service) and facilitates senior management alignment with key forecast decisions

Completes forecasts each month based on regional S&OP inputs driving purchase requirements

Collaborates with commercial teams for accurate monthly forecast processes and ensures products are available to support established Customer Service levels

Manages relationships with key suppliers and business stakeholders

Manages relationships with key external third parties that includes reviewing key performance indicators and continuous improvement opportunities

Leads external supplier meetings to ensure demand and requirements can be met by the suppliers manufacturing capacities and drives clear communication to resolve issues to minimize impact to GDS customers and financials.

Provides technical and organizational expertise to drive strong business results

Demonstrates subject matter expertise and represents SCM on key development and new product launch projects

Functions as supply chain lead on complex projects and provides key subject matter expertise and drives decision-making that optimizes supply chain processes

Provides detailed analysis with risk assessment and implications to senior management and/or cross-functional teams to drive optimal decision-making

Manages inventory management accuracy and stocking levels to meet business growth and continuity requirements

Partners with Cost Accounting to understand inventory scrap risk, ensures scrap reserves are booked correctly, and identifies opportunities to anticipate and proactively reduce scrap risk.

Energetic member of Americas supply chain management leadership team

Energetic member of supply chain management leadership team: Able to work on initiatives that support Americas, as well as global improvements

Provide support/guidance to regional and global Supply Chain teams to execute planning improvement projects

APICS certification desirable

Extensive experience in planning and inventory management

Extensive functional knowledge of SAP
