- Bachelor’s degree in electronics, electrical, computer sciences or related discipline required, master’s degree preferred
- MBA desirable
- 7+ years of experience in this field
- Experience in architecture definition, detailed design and complete software development cycle
- Experience leading teams and projects across functions
- Real-world experience with large scale implementations in any of the following categories:
- Embedded and/or Linux-based environments (e.g., FreeRTOS, Yocto File System, C, C, Serial Protocol.
- HTML 5, MQTT, FreeRTOS, UART, Scripting (Perl/Bash), Java, GPL or Apache license 2.0).
- Digital features (e.g., Cloud, UI/UX development, web and mobile based technologies).
- Strong sense of quality, willingness to experiment, eagerness to work with stakeholders, and engineering leadership
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize projects and tasks to meet timelines
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and presentation skills.

- Provide technical leadership and innovation to improve stack’s productivity, product reliability, and overall system and stack resiliency
- Lead business requirements capture and translation, hypothesis-driven design, work stream and project management for software technology projects.
- Develop systems and infrastructure to improve integration of software and firmware as well as developing strategies to improve fleet connectivity challenges.
- Mentor and manage a team of engineers using best practice-based software development approaches and processes.
- Define and track key metrics which demonstrate product success for embedded and digital components.
- Participate in coaching activities across internal and external teams on Agile and DevOps practices.
- Orchestrate development of next generation test and validation strategies, design automation frameworks, unit/functional testing.
- Empower the team to own the outcome and contribute to building a collaborative culture of accountability.
- Be a thought leader for software strategy within the broader organization. Stay abreast of the latest market developments and competitive landscape for other customer/consumer products and applications.
