Our client is a global leader in the creation of bio-based sustainable products that are used by hundreds of millions of people, in products made by more than 3,000 top global brands. They currently have an immediate opening in their Emeryville, CA location for an experienced Network Engineer with a strong background in Cisco and Cloud technologies.Responsibilities:
- Assess, design, implement, troubleshoot, and document Cisco networks and related systems.
- Cisco switch, router and firewall maintenance, upgrades, configuration, and deployment.
- Develop both high-level and detailed implementation and test plans for Cisco technologies related to various types of environments.
- Work with the infosec team to design and develop secure network architectures.
- Develop, implement, and maintain HA/DR for all data circuits and paths.
- Develop documentation as it relates to the necessary requirements, write assessment and design reports, and present them to Director of Technology.
- Provide knowledge transfer and informal training to Technology Group.
- Active CCNP or higher-level certification in Routing and Switching is strongly preferred
- Experience with Cisco VoiP, a huge plus
- LAN/WAN design experience desired
- Working knowledge of standard OSI layer protocols
- Skills in one or more of the following areas a plus: Cisco Data center technologies, Network security (Firewall, VPN, etc.), Cisco Client, Cisco WLAN
- Experience with Cisco ASA Firewalls and other Datacenter Technologies
- Experience with public cloud-based networking technologies (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure, etc.)
- VPN/IPSEC and other tunneling protocol experience
