Title: Sr. Desktop Support EngineerLocation: Emeryville, CA (onsite) Type: Full-timeResponsibilities-Provide desktop support services in our Emeryville office-Provide support for our laboratories and work with vendors as required-Monitor and respond to tickets in our Help Desk Ticketing system (MS Service Manager)-Install, configure, and troubleshoot applications (MS Office Suite, Adobe products, scientific applications, etc)-Configure/troubleshoot Cisco VoIP phones using WebEx Control Hub-Troubleshoot mail issues in Outlook/Mimecast-Active Directory - Create and modify user accounts, manage file/folder permissions, GPO s-Image and setup laptops/desktops using SCCM-Create, follow, and improve upon Standard Operating Procedures and Knowledge Base Articles-Maintain and update documentation for assigned projects and systems-Address client-side performance and reliability issues-Perform all work on-premises in Emeryville, CA, during normal business hours-Supporting senior level executives-Some after-hours/weekend support as requiredQualifications-10+ years in an enterprise desktop support role-Experience working in a biotech laboratory environment supporting robots and working with vendors-Ability to work with Windows 7/10 in Active Directory-Experience with MacOS and iOS in an enterprise environment-Strong working knowledge of Office 365 for Windows and MacOS-Hardware troubleshooting, maintenance, and support - Dell/Apple environment-Experience with remote desktop management (SCCM, Bomgar/BeyondTrust)-Solid understanding of network protocols-Operating System deployment using SCCMPreferred Qualifications-Experience with any of the following apps: ChemDraw, Chromeleon, Spotfire, JMP, R, ChemStation-Port configuration/management - Cisco IOS-Knowledge of SCCM (packaging, asset management, distribution of software and patches)-Microsoft Certifications: MOS, MTA, MCSA, MCSE-Bachelor s degree, preferably in Computer Science or related field
