At NorthBay Health the Clinical Equipment Technician is responsible for distributing, locating, and the cleaning of portable patient care equipment ensuring that equipment is maintained and readily availablePRIMARY JOB DUTIESCompletes all assigned duties, tasks, and routine daily cleaning assignments in accordance training provided and established standard work within time requirements set forth therein.Cleans all medical equipment per manufacturers’ specifications.Makes sure all equipment is properly charged at all times.Collaborates with the leaders of the patient care units to establish unit based equipment par levels, and to adjust as needed.Collects and reports utilization data in support of optimal access and efficient use.Delivers fully functioning equipment to patient care units in an expedient manner, meeting the time frames expected by the patient care unit Directors.Collaborates with EVS on patient discharge notifications : performs a functional check of each hospital bed. If service is required, he / she will facilitate a CE work request. If a hospital bed mattress topper is in need of replacement, he / she will facilitate the replacement.Collaborates with the Clinical Engineering staff toprocessequipment in need of repair or planned maintenance in a timely manner.Serves as the point of contact to access rental equipment during staffed hours. Monitors the use of rental equipment and collaborates with the leaders of the patient care units to assure immediate return when no longer needed.Scope of the job responsibility may change significantly over the first few months of the job.After normal working hours he / she will deliver critical hospital supplies to clinical teamsnorthbayJOB SPECIFICATIONSEducation : High School Graduate or equivalent.Experience : One (1) year experience in a hospital healthcare setting preferred.Skills : Ability to communicate effectively with staff, peers, colleagues, patients and visitors. Able to follow complex instructions involving task lists and duties covering an assigned work period. The ability to problem-solve and lead staff in the application of department and facility training involving response to disaster and occurrences such as fire, earthquake, storm, flood, disaster, etc., as part of the active team of employees within the facility that assures continuation of required services and functions.Interpersonal skills : The NorthBay Way is a set of value-based behaviors that are to be consistently demonstrated and role modeled by all employees that work at NorthBay Healthcare.
