Validation Engineer - Folsom, CA Full Time $32/hr. + Benefits & PTO Kelly OCG is looking for a Validation Engineer to join their team for a top semiconductor company in Folsom, CA. Full time role with benefits and paid time off. Summary: Validation Engineers are foremost expected to tackle engineering tasks such as GIT Management, Automation, and Python, with a secondary focus in technician tasks such as platform setup, rack management, test execution, and log collection. Engineers are trusted with autonomy within the scope of their experience, but strong team communication is mandatory. Workloads may be assigned on a daily or weekly basis, but Engineers are expected to use their expertise to figure out how to complete it, and to communicate any concerns or blockages. Once mastery is achieved, Engineers may be expected to drive ownership of ongoing, high-maintenance tasks, or tasks which require a high level of technical competence or training. This ownership entails a level of control or knowledge superseding their colleagues and management. Expectations:
- Python: Automation tasks require an understanding of Python
- GIT Experience: Create, manage, merge, and branch a repo.
- Prior Software Development Experience
- Platform Management: You must be able to construct a PC from boxed parts and custom or regressed drivers, bios, etc.
- Platform Testing: Installing various software/hardware configurations onto platforms to run test suites, gather results, and report on them
- Platform Debug: Debug and triage to isolate the component or software that isn't working as expected
- Documentation: The work environment is ever shifting. Results are significantly less useful if you cannot convey your process in detail
- Ownership: At a certain point of proficiency, you may be expected to take ownership of a platform as a resident expert and will become point of contact on related matters.
- Training: You may be asked to train your colleagues on your tasks.
- Excel Proficiency (Formatting, Formulas, Tables)
- Script Management: You may have to open scripts and edit variables.
- Total adherence to company and state COVID policies.
