GMP Manufacturing Technician

Please note that this is a 1 year contract position. Primary FunctionResponsible for performing a variety of duties within a manufacturing environment including production and manufacturing process operations.Key responsibilities will include:Manufacturing of products in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures and cGMP guidelines at pilot and production scales.Kitting, labeling, inspection and dispensing of biological materials to meet customer expectations on time with high quality products.Cleaning and sanitization of production equipment to meet operational quality needs.Communication with managers, peers, scientists and engineers to meet operational and continuous improvement objectives.Will work with process scientists and engineers to improve products, processes and components to meet agreed-upon objectives. May participate in projects to meet cost objectives and customer requirements.Participates in development projects requiring coordination with other functions and suppliers. Solves a broad range of problems varying in scope and complexity.Required Qualifications:o Hands-on experience in a chemistry and or biochemical manufacturing environment.o Ability to work with chemicals, mechanical production, and test equipment in a safe, clean, and knowledgeable manner.o User level proficiency in Microsoft office products including Excel, and Word.o Effective basic math, verbal & written communication skills, and aptitude to follow complex instructions.o Strong attention to detail and skill to multi-task and organize thoughts as needed.o Ability to work independently or within a team. Talent for fostering positive work relationships.o Ability to routinely lift and move 25 lb. loads.o Willingness to work overtime as required and competence in planning and maintaining area throughput.o Ability to proactively present opportunities for improvement.Desired Qualifications:o 3+ years’ experience in an ISO certified manufacturing environment, academic lab or equivalent educational background.o Experience with SAP or related ERP system.o Experience in inventory management is a plus.o Capability to adapt to changing priorities.Applicants must provide their phone number.
