Packaging Operator

Please note that this is a 10-12 months contract position. Shift: 2:30 pm start.Primary FunctionResponsible for performing a variety of duties within a manufacturing environment including production and manufacturing process operations.Key responsibilities will include:Sets up and operates fabrication processes and equipment to produce consumable products.Follows detailed work instructions associated with each machine and or business process.Performs a variety of process support tasks including maintenance of records and/or databasesCoordinates and facilitates processes by ensuring the proper flow of information and/or materialsSupports preventative maintenance program and inventory control activities with data entry, report generation and reconciliationProvides back-up support for administrative and materials/procurement personnel in other manufacturing departmentsRequired to work and communicate cross functionally with company personnel at all organizational levels.Manages and completes multiple tasks and projects which require planning and judgmentSolves a broad range of problems of varying scope and complexityParticipates, cooperates and contributes as part of a team.Identifies and implements improvements within assign area.Develops solutions on how to resolve issues that are identified during daily work.Provides feedback to supervisor, lead technician or technical support group on safety, quality, interpersonal and process related issues.Ability to routinely lift up to 25lbs and stand for up to 8 hours Required Qualifications:3+ years' experience in an ISO certified manufacturing environment, academic lab or equivalent educational background.2+ years of manufacturing experience preferredBasic math, verbal & written communication skills, and aptitude to follow complex instructions.Strong attention to detail and skill to multi-task and organize thoughts as needed.Willingness to work overtime as required and competence in planning and maintaining area throughput. Desired Qualifications:Hands-on experience in a chemistry and or biochemical manufacturing environment.Proficiency in Microsoft office products including Excel, and Word.Experience with SAP or related ERP system.Experience in inventory management is a plus.Capability to adapt to changing priorities.
