Location: Folsom, CA Description: Our client is currently seeking a Technician: Engineering - II
Title: Technician: Engineering - II Location: Folsom, CA, USA 95630 Duration: 4 Months Job Description: Working closely with Validation Engineers, the candidate performs validation testing on memory modules installed in platforms inside thermal chambers using UNIX and DOS based software. This job will have the following responsibilities:A brief description of the team/environment they will be working, i.e. size, reporting lines, fast paced etc.- Candidate will be working in a lab with a team of 6 or people
- For the most part this job is a fast pace environment
- The candidate should have strong background on building computers, be familiar with computer hardware and peripherals, understanding of networking topology, and some soldering skills.
- Good knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows operation system and its environment such installation, maintenance upgrades and updates, proprietary applications as well as using SW application such as Microsoft Office suite.
- Must have good communication skills, be able to learn fast, work well with other teammate and in a tense environment.
- Candidate should also have sufficient understanding of DRAM/DIMM and different memory technologies.
- Prepares documentation and provides engineers with status update on task assigned.
- The candidate should have at least 2yrs of building computers, be familiar with computer hardware.
- Candidate should also have some understanding of DRAM/DIMM and different memory Technologies.
- Prepares documentation and provides engineers with status update on - Validation testing.
- Candidate should have good knowledge of using SW such as Microsoft Windows, Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word).

- Background on building computers, be familiar with computer hardware (2yrs+ exp), DDR / memory modules for servers ,
