Agilent Technologies is seeking an Inspection and Calibration Technician for its growing consumables manufacturing facility located in Folsom, California. This position is responsible for physical inspection of incoming raw materials to ensure quality requirements are met, performing and scheduling equipment calibrations, coordinating Material Review Board meetings to disposition out-of-specification material, and assisting with inspection of first articles for new products and site projects.

Agilent is seeking energetic and motivated individuals with demonstrated skills in quality, teamwork and communication.

Responsibilities include:
  • Perform dimensional inspection of a variety of raw materials using metrology tools such as calipers, gauges, microscopic and optical comparators.
  • Maintain calibration of a variety of pieces of production and test equipment.
  • Schedule and monitor external calibration suppliers to ensure services are provided and calibrations are current.
  • Manage internally performed calibration workload; arrange and implement calibration plans to meet production support requirements and ensure product quality.
  • Manage inspection and calibration processes to ensure a safe, clean and orderly work environment.
  • Provide support of new product development and non-routine measurements both technical and workflow related.
  • Develop and execute plans to ensure compliance engaging Quality, Technical and Management resources in the process to ensure alignment.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Quality to develop processes, procedures and tooling fixtures to improve inspection processes, including applications for CMM/OMM equipment.
  • Use of CAD software and 3D printer to design and manufacture inspection tooling fixtures.
