Job Description

The Director of Business Conduct will lead and support investigations related to alleged violations of Visa policy or law and providing metrics/reporting to the head of the Business Conduct Office and executive leadership. The Director will manage all aspects of Visa’s Harassment & Discrimination Program, including year over year strategy, internal events on ‘speak up’, communication and awareness, and annual and targeted training. In addition, the Director will be expected to work collaboratively across multiple functions at Visa such as Legal, Compliance, Human Resources, Employee Relations, Internal Audit, Global Safety & Security, Cyber Security and Finance.

Visa promotes an ethical culture and provides employees and outside partners with safe and confidential channels to report concerns. This position requires proactive day-to-day management of the global investigation process, the Compliance Hotline as well as conducting due diligence and statistical analysis on misconduct matters in an effort to identify trends and mitigate risks.

This position is a direct report to Visa’s Sr. Director- Head of Business Conduct office and is an Individual Contributor role.

Job Responsibilities

  • Reinforce and support Visa's global investigation process and protocols across the organization’s multiple functions and geographies
  • Lead investigations (primary focus on Harassment and Discrimination claims, retaliation allegations, HR violation of code, etc.), and support financial investigations (such as Conflict of Interest, Travel and Expense, vendor kickback, etc.)
  • Conduct trend analysis, track and report case metrics (including intake, alleged violations, discipline, etc.) and summarize results for internal reporting purposes (monthly and quarterly)
  • Manage investigations end-to-end, including intake meetings, background research, investigative interviews, and debrief meetings with leadership.
  • Manage Visa’s Harassment and Discrimination program (including provide strategic direction to the program, communication and awareness, training)
  • Travel approximately 10% of the time to support the Business Conduct Office
  • Provide support for annual policy review and updates

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD Employment Law experienceis a

major preferredqualification HR/ER experience, CFE Experience handling internal investigations with an emphasis on Harassment and Discrimination investigations Experience drafting, updating and implementing compliance-related policies Experience conducting corporate internal investigations including intake, investigation, resolution and summary reports Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent data analytic skills Proactive, highly responsive, sensitive to confidentiality concerns, collaborative, diplomatic, flexible and adaptable Ability to work independently and use good judgment while also collaborating frequently with BCO team members and others in Legal/Compliance/HR

Flex Work Arrangement: This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.
