Job Description

The Manager, Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) and Inclusion will plan and execute engagement and inclusion programs for employee communities, including supporting Employee Resource Groups globally. The role reports to the Director, ERGs and Inclusion and has no direct reports. We are seeking an someone that has directly and impactfully already managed an ERG program within a complex organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support strategy development to drive impact through ERGs in key pillars of talent development and recruitment, community and business impact; lead planning and execution of programs that deliver on said strategy

  • Serve as trusted advisor and liaison for ERGs within the global Inclusive Impact & Sustainability (II&S) team, ensuring ERGs have resources, information, governance and support and serving as the voice of ERGs within the II&S team.

  • Manage Visa partnerships with select external diversity organizations/programs that advance talent, community and business impact objectives for ERGs and engage ERGs to maximize the value to their membership base and Visa.

  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to engage ERG members in recruiting diverse candidates

  • Support the Visa Race & Inclusion Talks series in partnership with ERG leaders to drive learning, dialogue and action among all employees.

  • Develop communication & marketing materials for key heritage month and other marquee events, including social media content for events and programs

  • Create and maintain procedures, toolkits, calendar and communication channels that support efficient and effective operations.

  • Manage budget allocations and approvals, process payments in collaboration with team’s executive assistant.

  • Develop metrics to measure impact of initiatives, conduct post program evaluations, and make recommendations for further improvements

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD Passionate about inclusion & diversity, employee development and engagement; experience in inclusion & diversity preferred, but not required Global mindset, with demonstrated ability to build strong relationships, influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization, across functions, across cultural, geographic and time zone boundaries. Exceptional project/program management skills and the ability to structure and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and drive to completion in a fast-paced environment. High attention to detail. Strong communication skills (research, writing, editing, presentation and speaking). Confidence and ability to express ideas/opinions and offer communication ideas/recommendations in a diplomatic way. Strong analytical and data skills; ability to translate metrics, research, and trends into insights; ability to manage complex budgets Experience managing external partnerships, including with non-profit organizations High proficiency in MS Office programs, with an emphasis on Excel and Powerpoint, and ability to adapt to and learn new software programs/systems. Ability to work both independently and as a strong, supportive team member. Previous experience in program managing, including ERGs and/or programs related to the development of underrepresented and historically excluded communities Experience in event management to attract and support ERG program development Ability to manage multi-task Experience in developing ERG strategy Ability to prioritize a high volume of requests with a bias towards action Expertise in managing complex budgets, making payments and handling contracts

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
