This role is responsible for key data analysis and research project management and support within the Global Insights & Analytics team. This role reports to the Sr. Director – Product Insights & Analytics. The role acts as a shared resource supporting the broader Product team in a variety of activities that may include leading research initiatives, statistical analysis, presentations for external clients and internal audiences, knowledge share collateral, data queries using various databases and other tasks as identified by leadership. The position will be based at Visa's headquarters in Foster City, California. Under the direction of the Sr. Director – Product Insights & Analytics, you will:

  • Manage all aspects of primary research, including partnering with key stakeholders to frame problems, appropriately scope out and design the research methodology, analyze results, and statistics and present findings
  • Translate data into actionable business impact that drives business outcomes
  • Display expertise with current market research tools and methods, and continuously surface innovative approaches to problem solving in the context of product research and B2B audiences
  • Meaningfully summarize research and succinctly communicate conclusions to executive level audiences
  • Build strong relationships with business partners and external vendors
  • Work with senior business leaders to develop research learning agendas that support their goals and Visa’s strategy
  • Synthesize data and information from multiple sources to inform strategy, guide tactical decisions and inform the business
  • Share knowledge broadly across the organization

Qualifications

We are looking for a strong analytic thinker who is looking for their next opportunity to grow and further develop their career. The successful candidate will have:

Basic

4 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA).

Preferred

  • 7-10 years of work experience and a Bachelor’s Degree or 6 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA).
  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Market Research, Psychology, Marketing, Consumer Behavior, Market Research, Economics, or related field required
  • Market research professional who has advanced experience with SPSS, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Project. Practical knowledge of SQL, Tableau or R is a plus
  • 4+ years’ experience in marketing, consulting, market research, insights, marketing analytics, corporate or agency with experience conducting analysis of primary quantitative and qualitative market research data.
  • Experience with large consumer transactional databases and B2B businesses is a plus
  • Foundational understanding of branding, advertising (traditional and digital), marketing concepts and strategy a plus
  • Background in payments, financial institutions or consumer lending a plus
  • You are masterful at uncovering insights with the ability to inspire and influence others using multiple sources of data, identifying trends. Outliers, and limitations
  • Strong business acumen; Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Highly effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to develop clear and compelling presentations for delivery to senior executives, and to translate analytical insights to actionable recommendations.
  • Intellectually curious and analytically rigorous. Solution oriented looking for ways to contribute added value

Additional Information

Location/ Return to OfficeWe anticipate to have this person based in Foster City offices, 2-3 days a week starting in the Fall 2021.

Physical Requirements:This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment (phones and computers), reach with hands and arms

Travel Requirements:The incumbent may be required to travel, up to 10%
