The Data Analytics Platform Group's goal is to provide a stable, feature-rich data analytics platform enabling Visa internal data consumers to make data-driven business decisions and gain actional insights by accessing Visa data easily and timely. The staff product manager will be responsible for working cross-functionally among the global and regional product teams, global and regional data scientists groups, BI developers, technology development, and others to understand business needs. S/he will write user stories and take on the product owner role for a team (or teams) that will establish data processes, data solutions, and automations. The perfect candidate can apply a breadth of knowledge, customer centric approach with deep technical skills, and strategic thinking to develop and provide clear vision for analytical capabilities. You will be responsible for enabling stakeholders to use data for faster decision-making, high quality, rich, and easy to use analytical environments, and therefore enabling Visa with the ability to leverage its data asset in an effective and timely manner. Essential Functions: Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Data scientists, Client services, BI Solutions, Marketing, Finance, Risk, Legal, Technology, and others Define product requirements, including writing clear, thorough, and detailed user stories describing complex features Create product roadmap, including minimum viable product definition plan and work toward system releases to deliver on the roadmap Perform the scrum product owner role, including creating/refining stories, prioritizing features, and managing the product backlog, and participating in sprint planning Develop product documentation describing features from a user perspective coordinate with training teams to develop user training Collaborate with user engagement functional group to develop and execute user communication strategy. Basic Qualifications : 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD Proven problem-solving capabilities and ability to quickly propose feasible solutions and optimally communicate strategy and risk mitigation approaches to leadership. Contribute directly to development of analytic environments in an agile environment Interfaces across the organization to share vision and provide guidance on usage of the data product/solution. Collaborate with Technology, and Business partner teams to identify, prioritize, and develop key features to meet business needs. Supports Requirements Analysis, Presenting Technical Information, and Problem Solving. Be able to quickly determine the best way to put information together. Supports design reviews and acceptance testing. Utilize Visa s data analytics capabilities, technology, and industry expertise to develop, standardized and implement solutions. Participate in business requirements gathering, effort sizing, and architecture planning Provide operational production support. Communicate complex concepts and the results of the analyses in a clear and effective manner. Preferred Qualifications : 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD Strong experience in Big Data/Hadoop Environment building large scale data engineering pipelines, data-based decision-making, and quantitative analysis Knowledge of Snowflake implementing best practices with data warehouse and ETL (Extract Transform and Load) concepts Strong experience in understanding and optimizing efficient SQL queries with Python, Hive, handling Large Data Sets in Big-Data Environments Experience with sophisticated, high volume, and multifaceted data Experience supporting production software/systems and a proven track record of identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks for production systems Experience with visualization software (e.g., Tableau/MicroStrategy) is a plus. Visa experience or knowledge of the payments industry is a plus, but not mandatory.
