Roth Staffing is looking for a Sr. Java Developer for the client (life insurance company). This is an exciting opportunity to work for a global leader in publicly traded marketing company with a strong corporate culture and competitive pay.

ResponsibilitiesProvide support and deployment of backend functionality and API-s for our online content-rich propertiesResponsible for coding, unit testing and general quality assurance of the API-sWork very closely with QA engineers, architects, tech leads on several projects at a timeSolve technical challenges on a day to day basis and build applications for scalability and performanceWrite clean, well-tested and maintainable code

Requirements7+ years of hands-on software development experience in Java with knowledge of Object Oriented Design.Good experience with J2EE, Spring Framework, Web Services, REST API, Json and XML parsers. Knowledge in Spring Boot is a plusGood understanding of how web applications work including knowledge of the HTTP protocol, request/response cycles, and session managementSome experience with one or more application servers, preferably Tomcat or JettyGood Knowledge of SQL and experience working with a RDBMS like Oracle or MySqlExperience working in a UNIX and/or LINUX environmentGood communication skills and the ability to work directly with project managers and engineering teamsBS/MS in Computer Science or related field is preferredExperience working around Algo roles is a plus.
