Salesforce Technical Architect

Purpose:As a Solution Architect, you will own the integrity and strength of the solutions recommended. You’ll be acting as a trusted advisor to our team and clients, and an effective mentor for other Salesforce professionals working alongside you. You will need a deep understanding of the Salesforce platform but just as importantly, top-notch people skills to get your ideas and solutions across to stakeholders and gain integrity to get your visions built into successful solutions. This role is responsible for leading Salesforce platform transformation projects, client-facing IT support, maintenance, and daily operational activities of the Salesforce platform applications. Working independently, or as part of a team, you will have the opportunity to work at the front end in a rapidly growing business.

Essential Functions:
  • Conduct research into clients’ use of Salesforce, producing a report of findings with recommended steps and a roadmap for Salesforce solutions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and customers to create prototypes and proofs of concept as a means of eliciting and defining requirements.
  • Own the design of Salesforce and (optionally) other affiliated solutions for Sales, Service, and platform solutions.
  • Architect, Develop, enhance, debug, support, analyze, maintain and test new/existing functionality.
  • Contribute to all technical aspects of projects under development.
  • Act as a release manager, approving configuration and coded items to be deployed between environments. Where appropriate, this could include deploying changes.
  • Develop customized solutions within the Salesforce platform to support critical business functions and meet project objectives, client requirements, and company goals.
  • Manage daily support and maintenance of internal Salesforce instance and conduct long-term improvement operations to ensure compatibility with evolving mission requirements.
  • Communicate with project managers, clients, and other developers to design cohesive project strategies and ensure effective collaboration throughout all phases of development, testing, and deployment.
  • Maintain a flexible and proactive work environment to facilitate a quick response to changing project requirements and customer objectives and innovate ways to meet mission goals successfully.
  • Interact directly with clients, managers, and end-users as necessary to analyze project objectives and capability requirements, including specifications for user interfaces, customized applications, and interactions with internal Salesforce instances.
  • Provide system administration support of internal and customer-facing Salesforce environment, especially related to customized applications, user permissions, security settings, custom objects, and workflow.
  • Take ownership of escalated or complex issues or problems and follow through to resolution.
  • Collaborate with various internal departments, including marketing, product development, and operations, to ensure the Salesforce environment supports internal needs relating to functionality and performance.
  • Supervise the configuration, quality assurance, testing, and deployment of Salesforce.
  • Identify root causes of technical issues in the application system and out of box failures and come up with the remediation document. Coordinate root cause analysis, problem management, and facilitation of recurring problem management meetings with management stakeholders, trend analysis, and strategic resolution.
  • Collaborative project and workstream planning.

Requirements

Basic:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • Minimum work experience 6 to 8 years of software development and 6 years of Salesforce application development.
  • Must have lightning experience, deploying web apps on the Heroku platform.
  • Must have designed solution architecture, specified design and development standards and reviewed design for completeness and efficiency.
  • JavaScript Work Experience in Web services SOAP and REST APIs.
  • Hands on Workflows (Approval Process, Flow Builder and Process Builder) in lightning.
  • Experience with technologies supporting SaaS applications including XML Web Services HTML.
  • Self-motivated and creative.
  • Proficient with Salesforce basics, Apex, VisualForce, Lightning, RDBMS and JavaScript Sales Cloud/Service Cloud, SFDX, SOQL, SOSL, CSS, APIs, etc.
  • Experience in multi-system integration.
  • Experience in source code control.
  • A pro-active personality, with a can-do attitude.
  • Available and responsive to question, clarifications and instructions.
  • Ability to tailor communication to multiple audiences at all levels and should have a high level of customer orientation.

Preferred:
  • Salesforce Developer Certification – Platform developer 1 and 2.
  • Experience developing customer-facing applications.
  • Salesforce Architecture certifications,
  • Active in the Salesforce community.
  • Experience in Agile methodology.
  • Experience in Salesforce community development.
  • Experience in Automotive Industry handling Call Center I.T. needs, Vehicle Safety Campaigns, Product Liability Cases, maintain & manage periodical Case coding & Vehicle reports.
  • Platform & data migration project experience from legacy system like Siebel to Salesforce.
  • Development using Standard Salesforce and Force.com platform (Lightning, Apex, Triggers, Workflow rules, VF pages).
  • Sales and Service Cloud including Customer and Partner portal (community) development experience.
  • Working knowledge of force.com sites will be an advantage. Force.com Migration Tool, Web Services/SOA & Metadata APIs.
  • Architecture, Design, Development, Administration, and Operational Support required.
  • Strong web development skills including JSON, XML, HTML, CSS, JavaScript Scripting Languages, DHTML, SOAP and AJAX
  • Strong SDLC experience
  • Services Oriented Design Principles (SOA)
  • com Certified Force.com Developer
  • Object-Oriented Development Skills
  • SQL, RDBMS experience.
  • Experience in Force.com product will be an advantage
