10112 – Security Engineer III (Incident Response & Investigation)

Purpose This resource is an individual contributor who will participate and manage in all aspects of incident response and investigations related to the corporate information security policy. This person will primarily be responsible for designing, implementing, administrating, operating and improving security incident response and investigation capabilities including but not limited to matter effecting the confidentiality, integrity and availability of our information technology and assets.

Essential Functions
  • Lead security incidents in a cross-functional collaboration environment driving towards incident resolution
  • Develop IR procedures, playbooks, templates, and other programmatic development methods to standardize, define, report and provide transparency.
  • Develop IR initiatives that improve our capabilities to respond and remediate security events faster
  • Identify, develop, define and articulate the levels of incident criticality and prioritization.
  • Report on security incident performance and risk indicator metrics
  • Find new ways of working to improve sustainability and improve security incident response and remediation closures rates
  • Lead and foster innovation within the Security Incident Response program, drive key decisions and focus on customer outcomes
  • Create a culture of accountability, quality, agility and high performance

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Related Experience
  • 3-5 years of IR relevant experience or equivalent combination of experience plus
  • 3-5 years of experience performing IT functions
  • Experience in medium to complex computing environments, with advanced knowledge in security technologies and services
  • Ability to communicate effectively with client staff at all levels, from technical to executive
  • Multi-task oriented in a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to pay close attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Information Security risk assessment methodologies and standards
  • Experience developing technical documentation, including reports, proposals, statements of work, and whitepapers
  • Ability to work independently, undertaking and completing project tasks on schedule with minimal supervision
  • Preferred Certifications: CISSP, CISSP-ISSAP, SANS, or other professional certification applicable to security engineering are preferred
