10610 - Sr. Business Process Consultant – Wireless Management

PURPOSE: The Business Process Consultant is a self-motivated professional who is in charge of leading, strategizing, and designing business operations and product management in the areas of wireless and vehicle connectivity. The BPC is in charge of establishing solid and mutually beneficial business partnerships with telecom partners such as Verizon and Bell. This position works as a major advocate for wireless partners, providing strategic insight into vehicle connectivity business strategies and initiatives and identifying revenue generation potential; it also acts as a single point of contact for wireless connectivity-related inquiries and requests from business units and partners. This position is in charge of ensuring wireless contract compliance as well as assisting wireless partners with contract formulation and modifications.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Lead and support the advancement of the connected car wireless platform by providing development services and collaborating with wireless partners to explore and evaluate new technologies and solutions.
  • Evaluate and support CBUs in aligning their business drivers with wireless partner’s technical solution sets.
  • Provide and support the implementation of wireless business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities.
  • Server as a Single point of contact and a subject matter expert in the wireless technology and development areas and achieve the best outcome for the business units
  • Stay current with industry and technical trends and provide market insights on new wireless solutions and provide business opportunities.
  • Lead to manage all aspects of wireless connectivity related business operation including billing, reporting and wireless account management, maintaining contract compliance and facilitates contract development/ amendments with the telecom partners.
  • Define negotiation strategy and support negotiation with CBU and Telecom partners.
  • Review wireless carrier offer, contracts, and provide advice and recommendations
  • Functions as a key advocate for Client Business Units (CBUs); Serve as a single point of contact for wireless service-related inquiries and requests from clients
  • Function as a single point of contact for wireless partners, providing strategic insight into vehicle connectivity business strategies and initiatives and identifying revenue generation potential.
  • Develop, maintain, and demonstrate expert, up-to-date knowledge of wireless technologies
  • Develop wireless business and product enhancement roadmaps and business direction, be involved in CBUs business development activities through a close working relationship with partners and business units.
  • Coordinate with all internal departments for business proposal creation for connected car project involving wireless technology.
  • Staying abreast of service implementation and business operation status, keep clients stay up to date with their connectivity service status
  • Create/manage customer wireless pricing model align with company's strategic direction.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree or equivalent in the field of business, computers, information systems or related degree.
  • 7-10 years of IT exp. or industry work experience in consulting, strategic planning, business process design and IT governance and/or relevant project experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in a similar role preferably in the Telematics, Telecommunications, or automobile industry.
  • 2+ years of experience with wireless networks and connectivity products that use wireless technology.
  • Ability to work effectively without direct supervision (i.e., the ability to take high-level direction and proactively move a project or internal initiative from start to finish with minimal assistance).
  • Ability to build relationships across stakeholders in business and IT organizations
  • Experience leading internal IT teams and external partners to deliver IT solutions and services within customer expectations
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations.
  • Client-first mentality; ability to empathize and build positive client relationships
  • Consulting experience preferred, experienced with presentations to business management
  • Ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges
  • Ability to translate CBU business objectives and requirements into documents with functional design guidance
  • Ability to interpret difficult instructions, derive valid conclusions, and recommend reasonable courses of actions within the scope of the position.
  • Ability to travel frequently to international sites (e.g. Toronto, Canada)
  • Well organized with ability to pay close attention to details.
  • Utilize best practices for general business, administrative, and operational procedures.
  • Ability to create standard forms, templates, and processes.
  • Ability to review and update Terms and Conditions.
