- We are looking for a senior-level mechanical designer with hands-on design experience that has a strong passion for CAD and natural curiosity to push the boundary of mechanical design in the forefront of the digital transformation with MBD/MBE, large assembly management, and additive manufacturing.
- At the same time, this individual works hands-on to create electromechanical layouts, packaging, fixtures, tooling, and mechanisms. Works with technology development, product engineering, suppliers, manufacturing and quality group to define specifications and complete the full design cycle. Creates documentation and conduct design reviews in support of design efforts.
- Collects data, analyzes results, generates reports, and provides recommendations. Contributes as required, in the design, analysis, prototype build, software or process development, evaluation, and complete bottom up product documentation.
- Experience with and understanding of machining and sheetmetal fabrication processes; expert-level CAD user; strong user of Microsoft Office Suite; excellent communication skills.
- Expert level knowledge of Siemens NX and Teamcenter. Understanding of GD&T, drafting best practices, and large assembly management is a must. Familiarity of MBD and MBE is a big plus (but not a must). Experience with CAD user groups and defining CAD best known practices (BKMs) is a plus. Project management and people management experiences are plus.
