- Review complaint tickets and RMA records to determine the proper disposition for each returned device received in inventory
- Perform hands-on evaluation of returned devices to determine the root cause of the customer-reported issue(s)
- Review evaluations performed by return technicians to ensure completeness and accuracy, providing guidance on additional parameters to be evaluated where appropriate
- Update complaint tickets with clearly written summaries of the evaluations performed
- Manage the final routing of returned devices that have completed all required evaluations
- Maintain a detailed record of returned devices, ensuring that the status and disposition of each unit in inventory is up to date
- Provide regular updates to Engineering, Operations and Quality on the results of the evaluations, including any emerging trends or new issues found
- Support engineering testing activities, including performing/coordinating tests and writing test reports
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering, natural science, or related discipline
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience with electromechanical systems preferred
- Comfortable working with mechanical systems, including the disassembly and reassembly of complex electromechanical devices using basic hand tools
- Strong analytical skills, intuitive understanding of the principles and methods of root cause analysis/experimental design
- Excellent organizational skills, spreadsheeting wizardry a plus
- Clear and concise communicator with strong writing skills
