Title: Operator

Location: Fremont, CA

Length of Contract: 12 months with possible extension, 40hrs/week

JOB SUMMARY

  • Responsible for assembling and /or producing products according to detailed manufacturing processes. Accountable for adhering to all quality and safety guidelines.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform medical device assembly work using microscope and small hand tools such as tweezers, and razor blade in a cleanroom environment.
  • Understand and apply all manufacturing procedures and other necessary documentation as it relates to the product line.
  • Work with assigned equipment and recognize mechanical problems as they arise.
  • Performs in process quality checks on sub-assemblies and finished products. Assist with basic maintenance on tools or equipment and advices supervisor of needed repairs.
  • Attendance and Punctuality - consistently at work and on time.
  • Dependability - Follows instructions, respond to management direction; Takes responsibility to own actions; Keeps commitments; complete tasks correctly and on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan.
  • Must strive to increase productivity.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in the Medical Device industry or medical field preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing principles and practices, and procedures.
  • Experience using medical device equipment.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred Experience: 2 - 4 years related experience; previous experience in medical device assembly; Solder experience; and General knowledge of cleanroom practices and procedures.
  • Experience with microscope use in assembly of small components: using tweezers, electronic assembly, nails, razor blades, hand eye coordination skills, etc.
