Responsibilities: Architect, build and validate scalable and distributed reference architectures that will help enable and power AI and data infrastructure workflows for AI, ML, and Analytics platforms. Collaborate with multiple SSG practice teams to understand and define data and compute requirements for various workloads, use cases and verticals. Be an internal champion for Data workflows and technologies among the technical community. Collaborate with internal research and technical teams solving complex problems Evangelize and test drive new developments in the deep learning and artificial intelligence; scouring arXiv, journals, and conferences for new algorithms, techniques, and capabilities. Document what you know and teach others. This can vary from building targeted training for partners and other Data Scientists, to writing whitepapers, blogs, and wiki articles, to simply working through hard problems with a customer on a whiteboard. Collaborate on solving complex technical challenges in various areas supporting the four SSG practices including Data Technologies, Cloud Native Technologies, High Performance Computing Technologies and AI, ML and Analytics TechnologiesSkills: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, Physics or a related field (or equivalent experience). Experience working with modern distributed and parallel file systems and technologies including but not limited to federated IO, memory centric IO, high performance IO and capacity optimized IO workloads. Knowledge and experience working with modern Deep Learning software architecture and applications including but not limited to DL frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Caffe, and MXNet Working knowledge with at least one of C, C, Java Solid technical foundation in distributed computing and storage, including significant experience with most of the following: server systems, storage, I/O, networking, and systems software. Highly motivated with strong interpersonal skills, you have the ability to work successfully with multi-functional teams, principles and architects and coordinate effectively across organizational boundaries and geographies. Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with management and engineering. Strong time-management and organization skills for coordinating multiple initiatives, priorities and implementations of new technology and products into very complex projects. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Performance analysis :and benchmarking experience.Preferred Qualifications Advanced degrees and education; MS or PhD Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or related fields or equivalent field work or research experience in distributed systems development and design. Experience working with modern application deployment practices including but not limited to HPC Schedulers/Orchestration, Docker/Singularity Containers and Kubernetes. Ability to create engaging proof-of-concepts communicating complex ideas in an intuitive way. Demonstrated track record of creative thinking and mentorship Exposure to GPU technology and CUDA programming. Deep Learning experience, have project experiences in one of the following: detection, recognition, tracking, translation, big data analysis, speech recognition, etc. Parallel programming experience, OpenMP, MPI or other programming languages is a plus. Have a go getter attitude to dive deeper and understand technical requirements with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. In-depth software development or data science experience or HPC systems management.
