Job Description:

The Project Manager will be responsible for leading the design, integration, and start-up for food and beverage industry projects. Responsibilities require engineering leadership experience and a solid working understanding of process, utility, packaging systems, drafting (CAD), controls, equipment procurement, installation, training, and start-up. Qualified candidates will have a proven track record delivering projects on budget & schedule, managing project teams, executing complex scopes, managing client interaction & expectations, supervising contractors and being able to identify & help develop new business opportunities.

Responsibilities:
  • Participate in project estimating, justification and proposal development.
  • Lead the design and integration phase of projects by working with engineering professionals to ensure the design meets all the project requirements.
  • Lead the procurement phase of projects by working with engineering and procurement professionals to ensure project buy out meets all project requirements and maximizes project profitability.
  • Lead construction phase of projects by working with engineering and construction professionals to ensure construction meets design requirements and is done on schedule and within budget.
  • Lead the start up and commissioning phase of projects by working with engineering, construction and start up professionals to ensure all equipment and systems meet all project requirements.
  • Responsible for project close out.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and report out on progress on a regular basis.
  • Maintain and track project budgets for budget vs actual, forecast to complete and estimate at completion. Report out on budget on a regular basis.
  • Main point of contact with client and clients project leader. Provides client with communications, updates, RFI's etc as needed on a regular basis

Requirements:
  • Minimum 7 to 10 years of project management experience
  • Excellent project management and leadership skills as well as the ability to simultaneously organize, and successfully executive multiple project responsibilities.
  • Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact within both engineering and operational environments with both clients, and suppliers.
  • Ability to develop, maintain and grow solid client relationships.
  • Willing and able to travel as necessary for project requirements to include but not be limited to: project installation and start-up activities, client meetings, FAT's, company sponsored meetings, trainings etc

Education:
  • Bachelor of Science -Engineering or Project Management
