Our busy restaurant is looking for an experienced, forward-thinking Chef who is passionate about culinary arts. The ideal candidate for this position will be a natural team player who always has a finger on the pulse of current culinary trends. This individual will be responsible for preparing meals for our diners, helping to interview and train staff, kitchen inventory management and partnering with the other Chefs to come up with delectable new dishes to add to our growing menu. Chef Duties but not limited to
o Follow the budget established by the kitchen manager
o Ensure safety and sanitation practices in the kitchen
o Monitor food and labor costs
o Keep up with industry trends and create new recipes in collaboration with the other Chefs
o Work with the entire kitchen staff to develop seasonal as well as special (wine dinner) menus
Chef skills
5+ years' experience as a Chef in a full-service restaurant
Excellent communication and organization skills
Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Able to work in a team environment without an ego
Dedicated to food quality and control
Strong knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation standards
