Position Summary:

Cellar Worker is a key, hands on position, part of the Winemaking team.

The person holding this position will be working under the supervision of Cellar Supervisors to ensure that all tasks are done on a timely manner, and with safety quality in mind.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

The following is a summary of essential functions for this job and does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned.

Operate Cellar processing equipment such as Velo Filters, Padovan Filters, Lees Filters and Rotovacs.

Able to follow company policies, safety rules and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Willing to take an active role in cellar work; sets up, runs and clean up.

Responsible to maintain a clean, orderly and safe all winery areas.

Able to properly clean and sanitize pumps, hoses, tanks and cellar fittings before and after use.

Help set up and ensures that everything is ready to load and unload bulk wine tankers in a timely manner.

Able to set up filtrations and check the integrity of the wine been filtered.

Able to perform amending additions and adjustments to juice and wine.

Able to perform simple maintenance task if needed throughout the cellar.

Able to work as part of a diverse and multicultural team and to maintaining strong professional relationships with co-workers.

Perform special assignments, projects, and other duties as required.

Complete other special projects for the Winemakers as directed

Able to enter confined spaces for prolonged periods.

Able to work at heights.

Forklift certified and able to move barrels, case goods, equipment and chemicals as needed.

Perform the above with minimal supervision.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED Preferred

Strong Math Skills

Knowledge of all Safety Regulations within the Wine Industry Preferred

Excellent communication skills (Verbal and Written).

Attention to detail and ability to follow through with projects.

Willing to work at a fast pace environment.

Ability to respond to frequently changing production priorities to meet demand.

Willing to work on Swing and Graveyard Shifts
