Nazareth House Fresno is seeking a dependable, enthusiastic, and dedicated Dietary Aide to join our outstanding team!

Candidates must submit to Live Scan and Drug Test, as well as a positive attitude! We want individuals that make resident care a top priority and can help us continue our tradition of providing excellent quality of care, and who would like to grow with us as we continue to build our service alliance!

KEY JOB FUNCTION:

Assist in preparation & serving of meals and snacks, as assigned per menu and standardized recipes.

Assist in checking trays for menu, diet preference and accuracy.

Prepare food in accordance with standard recipes to achieve proper consistency of mechanical soft and pureed food.

Timely deliver food and assist as needed with dining and ensure proper storage of foods/supplies.

Provide all dietary services in a safe manner and use proper infection control measures.

Prepares and delivers food and trays, washes dishes and cleans and sanitizes kitchen according to health standards.

The Dietary Aide must be detail-oriented, well-groomed, act professionally and must be a team player who works well with others

QUALIFICATIONS:

A Food Handler's permit/Serve-Safe certification is a plus

Maintains a neat, clean, well-groomed appearance.

General knowledge and understanding of nutrition.

Knowledge of quantity food production and serving techniques, food safety/sanitation requirements and procedures

MUST have at least 2 years experience in RCFE community

Must have the ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions at a level necessary to accomplish the job.

Ability to follow time schedules for meal preparation and service.

Must be able to relate positively and favorably to residents, families and to work cooperatively with other employees.

Written and oral communication skills.

Must maintain regular attendance.

Must be able to work weekends and holidays

Must meet all local health regulations, and pass post-employment physical exam if required.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 30 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend and walk for extended periods of time.

Must be able to work around food and cleaning products.
