SUMMARY
Sets up and operates semiautomatic machine by performing the following duties. Must maintain quality parts are sent to customers and meets or exceeds production standards and proper and accurate reporting of production is made on a daily basis. Must possess the ability to pay attention to details, identify part configurations and meet deadlines. Must be capable of solving problems and to remain calm when dealing with different individuals or situations that may arise. Performs under the general supervision of the Production Manager and Lead. Most normal duties and responsibilities are carried out independently with the use of established ISO 9001 procedures and policies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Perform necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup and operation on multiple pieces of equipment
Reads work order to determine parts needed and setup procedure.
Logs daily production on data sheets and time cards.
Assembles wooden or cardboard containers or selects preassembled containers.
Inserts items into containers as required.
Packs and or assembles product using correct packing materials required or designated.
Closes containers as required, including nailing covers on wooden crates and bind containers with metal tape.
Stamps, stencils, or glues identifying information onto crates or containers and or parts as required.
Operate tools in order to aid in the manufacturing process
Perform periodic checks on equipment and solve problems as detected.
Communicate with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials
Must keep the department clean and organized and all rework and or rejected parts tagged properly and take the necessary action required to disposition the parts throughout the shift.
Maintains good housekeeping practices and is responsible to keep the department clean.
Performs other tasks as assigned by supervisor on an as needed basis.
