Granite Mountain Stone Design is seeking CNC Operators to become an integral part of our team! Granite Mountain is a leading natural stone fabricator with 2 locations and approximately 30 employees.
Typical Physical Demands:
Set up and operate all 4 of the CNC and/or the diamond saws when the CNCs are set up for a long run.
Adjust machine settings to specifications, accurately, and in a timely manner
Load and unload pieces
Setup and maintain tooling
Work well with support staff for setup and running complex pieces
Perform basic machine programming and set up on standard process
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Must be detailed oriented
Skilled in math and geometry
CNC training will be provided by the lead person, starting with setup and the operation, all the way through programming depending on aptitude
Computer proficiency
Overhead crane experience very helpful
CNC and/or basic Auto CAD knowledge
Understanding of fabrication processes for profiling and shaping of granite a plus
Ability to read shop tickets
Able to apply patterns as needed for accurate layout
Must know metric and standard tape measures
Must be able to stand for entire shift
Qualifications:
Previous experience preferred
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Ability to build rapport with customers
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High School Diploma or GED, trade school or equivalent
