Overview

An established, fast paced construction company is seeking a part time bookkeeper & general administrative assistant.

This is a part-time to full-time position with a starting compensation range of $15/hour.

Job Type: Part-time 20-24 hrs. per week with room for growth to full time.

This is a fluid work environment that will demand flexibility in mindset, the ability to critically think and be a proactive problem solver.

Spanish Speaking a plus, but not required.

Reliable personal transportation.

Background in construction accounting preferred, experience in the Construction industry a plus. (QuickBooks AND Microsoft Excel/Word proficiency required. Familiarity and use of GOOGLE SHEETS a plus. The more tech savvy you are, the better.)

Responsibilities to include preparation payroll documents, payable, receivables. The ideal Bookkeeper should have a minimum of three years of prior experience.

Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.

Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct daybook, suppliers ledger, customer ledger and general ledger.

Bring the books to the trial balance stage

Perform partial checks of the posting process. Enter data, maintain records and reports, financial statements

Process accounts receivable/payable and handle payroll preparation in a timely manner.

Job Requirements

Proven bookkeeping experience.

Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles

Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records

Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers

Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software

HIGH Proficiency in English and in Microsoft Office

Customer service orientation and negotiation skills

Strong team player with the ability to independently and resourcefully obtain needed information to thoroughly complete assigned tasks.

A valid driver's license and clean driving history.

Have at least 4 years of licensed driving experience and possess a valid driver's license.

High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) drug screen, clean MVR.

Other duties as assigned by Management.

Should also have experience with Microsoft Office, medium to heavy use of Excel.

Travel:

As this is a fluid position that requires other duties as assigned, the hired individual will need to periodically travel to and from job sites. These sites are typically, but not always, within 2 hours of Fresno CA.
