Currently, we are accepting resumes for an experienced Marine Mechanic to join our high-volume dealership in Fresno, CA.

This is a full-time year-round position. Must have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Strong mechanical and technical abilities, attention to detail, must be highly organized, Good communication skills and be a team player.

In conjunction with new boats, we are one of the largest used boat dealers in the country. a Marine Mechanic with senior level experience servicing a variety of different boats and powertrains is required. We offer excellent compensation package with medical, dental, vision and 401K match.

Job Duties:

Performs major and specialized mechanical overhaul and repair work on gasoline and marine engines, outboard motors, and related marine equipment and systems using schematic charts and technical manuals.

Examines repair or installation orders, drawings, and vessel, utilizing knowledge based on past experience to determine extent of repairs required or modifications necessary for installation of equipment, accessories, and hardware.

Consults with supervisor regarding installation or repair problems, sequence of operations, and time required to complete repair or installation.

Tests engine, transmission, rigging, propeller, navigational, and related systems to diagnose malfunctions, using various measuring instruments

Replaces or repairs defective components or fabricates new components.

Installs and tests steering gear, sanitation and refrigeration systems, cabinetry, electrical systems and accessories, hardware, trim, and related components, following manufacturer's instructions and drawings.

Must be able to communicate equipment issues, a plan of action and work completed to service advisers.
