Our client, who is a market leader in their industry of refrigeration & HVAC, has been a contributor in making an impact for major grocery retailers during the pandemic.
They are looking for a Sr. C# SQL Application Developer for a permanent position.This position is responsible for developing and supporting critical applications that support the ERP system. Along with supporting and maintaining current applications, this individual needs to understand business processes and work with our business partners to gathering requirements and be able to translate those requirements into detailed functional and technical design. The individual will participate in the coding, implementing, maintaining, documenting and the support of applications. Prepares and review documentation of developed programs and processes. Ensure work is delivered on schedule and on budget. Adheres to standards for software development with emphasis on test driven development and quality of product. Perform code reviews to ensure all deliverables are of the highest quality. Prepare and review estimates for tasks and projects. Prepare test scripts, and conduct all applicable tests for multiple projects, coordinating across multiple areas. This position must have the ability to independently complete individual tasks in a dynamic environment. Additionally, the candidate needs to demonstrate skills developing APIs using standard .NET toolset and web services integration using technologies such as XML, SOAP and Rest. API management platforms such as SOA, OIC are a plus.Required Qualifications: Strong Microsoft SQL Server database experience including the ability to create SQL scripts, functions, tables, views and analyze database structures At least 5 years' experience in C#, SSRS and .NET development in any language At least 5 years' experience in Web API, XML, SOAP, and Rest services Ability to learn new software tools and skills as needed and provide recommendations on how to incorporate as applicable. Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively with associates at all levels within the organization. Demonstrated ability to establish priorities, organize, and plan work to satisfy established timeframes. Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Must be self-motivated and take initiative. Consults with users or other IT professionals to resolve issues with programs. Contributes to the development of project plans/timelines and provides estimates for planned work. Develops business knowledge and customer relationships. Work with the development team using agile methodology to deliver software. Understand and know how to implement the SOLID principles A strong understanding of Web API Performs other duties as assigned. Additional skillset include: SQL DBA knowledge, Power BI, SSIS, JavaScript, Crystal Reports, Java, API management platforms such as SOA, OIC are a plus.
