- Provide specialized technical work in support of networks, servers, systems and/or applications; remediates software and hardware problems for users remotely and in person
- Conduct various tests on components, equipment, and software during installation to ensure components are working properly and in accordance with City specifications
- Provide assistance in the installation, configuration, performance monitoring, testing and/or troubleshooting of assigned technology systems and equipment
- Receive, prioritize, and respond to technical support calls and request; maintain accurate documentation; create, update, and close tickets using the Jira platform in a timely manner; creates knowledge base and frequently asked questions documentation; may coordinate with vendors or other staff for required services and issue resolution
- Update and maintain technical documentation regarding specifications, system settings, accounts, procedures, plans and/or schedules; provide basic user training and update support documentation
- Four years of experience utilizing the fundamentals of typical computer systems, operating systems, applications, and peripherals, two years of which must have included IT work experience in a hands-on or remote end-user technical support environment
- CompTIA Certification
- ITIL Foundation Certification
- Experience working with an IT department in a local government setting
- Experience working with a law enforcement department
