With us, it’s all about finding the job that’s just right.This is a possible contract to permanent position , that is eligible for Kelly Services Contractor perks such as Medical, Dental, Vision coverage through the ACA compliant healthcare plan.Pay rate : 31.00 per hour .Schedule : This is a full-time position. 3rd shift 8hrs -9pm-530amJob duties include:Reads blueprint drawings, work orders and tooling instructions to machine plastic parts on a CNC lathe machine according to customer specifications.

Programs, set-ups and runs machine tools on the lathe machine. Loads parts to the fixture and secures the work piece, tools and tool holders.

Selects tools to perform the required operations.

Monitors tool wear and changes tools and inserts as required.

Uses measuring equipment to ensure that parts meet specifications within very close tolerances.

Train new employees and provide Team Members with daily objectives, developing and implementing good ideas to motivate employee productivity and communicating with upper management to determine the best methods for meeting business goals.

Move material from Point of Use (POU), as necessary, to keep all team members at their machines to ensure schedule attainment.

Provide input/feedback to the Shift Supervisor when potential issues are discovered that can negatively impact the schedule and jeopardize schedule attainment.

Fill-in for absent team members to ensure schedule attainment.

Ensure all team members and temporary workers have received the appropriate safety training, mentor through on-the-job training, and make recommendations to the Shift Supervisor of team members that able/willing to learn other roles successfully.

Lead team 5S and safety activities, submit SMAT/TF4 & TF5 reports and ensure adherence to the expected level of standard. Meet all individual safety targets as required.

Encourage compliance by following all company policies related to attendance, dress code, cell phone usage, smoking, parking, etc

Proactively participate in process improvement (FLUX/WCM) teams and encourage participation by team members by running machines/filling in while their team members participate in these activities.

Conduct cycle counts in all POU stocking locations, per procedure, to ensure components/ material is available as needed.

Maximize machine up-time by ensuring all Autonomous Maintenance checklists are completed daily on machines in the area of responsibility in accordance with the procedure.

Prepare and submit maintenance work order requests to ensure equipment is in proper working condition. Determine project completion timeline and monitor progress to keep the project on track and on schedule.

Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

100% of the day in a manufacturing work environment.

Primarily on feet

Job requirements:RequiredHigh School Diploma or GED required.

Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Ability to work overtime as required.

Strong reading, writing, and math abilities.

Previous CNC experience

Must be proficient and have experience with CNC Lathes (REQUIRED)

Vocational certification required where applicable or equivalent years of proven exceptional performance.

Manage the flow of day-to-day operations.

Communicate clear instructions to team members to avoid any confusion and error.

Good computer skills with ability to efficiently navigate QAD.

Good communication skills – written and oral (high school diploma or equivalent).

Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing preferred.

Mentor skills – ability to lead by example and encourage positive communication and motivation.
