You oversee and own all functions within your store. You are a Symbolic leader that develops your team through our Values and Global Leadership Expectations by showing and providing excellent customer service and product knowledge at all times.

Job Responsibility including but not limited to:

Customer Service

· Responsible for creating and driving customer service visions that are applicable to the local customer

· Greet and engage all customers in conversation

· Utilize an organic customer service approach to create an easy and inspiring shopping experience for every customer

  • Provide relevant and detailed product knowledge of all & Other Stories merchandise including but not limited to fabric types, washing instructions, garment fits etc.

· Communicates with customers courteously and promptly in-person and via phone

· Promote loss prevention and safety through customer service and established & Other Stories policies and procedures in partnership with store leadership team to guarantee employee and customer safety

· Leads by example and coaches staff in the moment to & Other Stories customer service standards

Operations

· Responsible for securing all operational routines within the store

· Effectively schedules and ensures proper planning of the staff according to the needs and restrictions of the business and adjusts hours as necessary to reach store and takt goals

· Establishes, monitors, and follows up on sales goals, plans and budgets with & Other Stories Sales Team to optimize profit

  • Handles customer transactions and questions at the register and packages purchases according to & Other Stories standards in a courteous and friendly manner

  • Upkeeps & Other Stories logistic standards and overall cleanliness of stockrooms and back stocked merchandise

  • Ensures & Other Stories shop floor standards and product care is met throughout the day

  • Executes reductions, transfers and campaign set ups according to & Other Stories guidelines

· Has working knowledge and oversees use of all Company systems in stores

· Adheres to & Other Stories values, policies and procedures as outlined in company handbook

Commerciality

· Responsible for commerciality of store

  • Takes action to maximize sales through joint operational and commercial focus

  • Manages and ensures stock level is appropriate to maximize selling

  • Responsible for pushes of high priority garments when necessary by communicating with the & Other Stories merchandising team

  • Develops team to ensure knowledge on all product, event, promotion, display guidelines and merchandise information

  • Ensures garment presentation, garment level and visual standards are presented according to & Other Stories expectations

  • Plans, coordinates and follows up on all campaign set ups, concept upkeep, activities, and promotions

Leadership

· Organizes and distributes the work of team, sets priorities and keeps an overview of the tasks to be accomplished

  • Supports the team on the shop floor as needed, especially during peak selling times

· Manages, recruits, on boards, trains and develops the team and keeps an overview of succession planning for future development

· Follows up with management team to ensure proper training and staff assessment is being completed

· Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company’s policies and applicable laws including approving time off requests, pay, location or title changes, conducting terminations, corrective actions and making employment decisions

  • Performs all administrative routines, including the opening and closing of the store, follows all company practices and procedures and works with timekeeping and scheduling system

· Creates a positive and motivating team environment and acts on Employee Relations concerns

· Works as a team player with willingness and ability to readily respond to changing circumstances and expectations

· Being straight forward and open minded including when receiving and sharing feedback

  • Ability to suspend employee based on discretion and approval from Area Sales Manager or Area HR if necessary

Financial Accountability:

· Establishes and oversees plans, budgets and variable costs for

store; works with comparable sales to last year, sales to budget and future sales trends to maximize profitability with the & Other Stories Area Team

· Accurate recording of sales figures

Job Status: Non-Exempt, Salaried

Qualifications

Minimum Candidate Qualifications:

· High School Graduate or equivalent

· At least-3 years of retail management experience or comparable management experience

· Ability to lift in excess of 20 pounds

· Ability to stand for long periods of time, bend, stretch, engage in repetitive motions, push, pull and carry items (mannequins, clothing, totes, torsos, etc.) for a short distance

· Ability to climb a ladder and use a step stool

Competencies:

· Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills

· Proven organizational and analytical skills

· Consistently shows ability to be sales driven and results-oriented by taking action, relating all decisions back to store results and working to improve profit & loss

· Strong garment presentation skills with the ability to drive the business through creativity and extensive fashion knowledge

· Ability to take own initiative and take responsibility for actions

· Ability to work strategically, tactically and operationally

· Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment and prioritize effectively

· Ability to be clear and convincing when communicating goals, information and expectations to staff

· Ability to plan and achieve long and short term goals

· Ability to coach and apply appropriate developmental tool for each individual

· Experience with preparing and administrating progressive discipline process and performance management as well as succession planning

· Ability to provide feedback in a constructive and professional way

· Ability to handle conflict and resolve problems constructively

· Basic computer skills, such as browser navigation, software interaction and data entry are needed

· Open availability including evenings and weekends

· Around 5 % travel required as necessary (Sales meetings, workshops, etc.)
