The Senior Manager, Content Security Strategy & Operations reports into the VP of Content Security at The Walt Disney Studios. This role is based in Glendale, CA and is responsible for strategy and synergy across the entire Content Security organization. They will understand and influence each program’s portfolio of projects, delivery strategy, and objectives to prioritize and facilitate quality service delivery for our external stakeholders. This role will operate the central Content Security program management office (PMO) which will oversee all strategic technical security assessments and programs. Additionally, this role will also oversee the financial budget process for the organization, including oversight of vendor spend, accurate forecasting and financial analysis.This role is a highly influential and visible role combining strategic planning, experience & program management, process improvement, finance and communications oversight, and team leadership across a fast-moving technology business. The primary goal is to creatively and efficiently solve any problem that arises, and to do it with eagerness and relentless execution. You will serve on the leadership team of the organization, as a force multiplier making each function more effective.Responsibilities

This role will focus on leading strategic initiatives and their execution across the organization, including partnering with the Vice President to development the organizational vision, strategy and communications including training and awareness programs. The role will also provide oversight of organizational finances and third-party resources.

Content Security relies upon programs to help execute its mission and objectives. This role will constantly assess the effectiveness of each program, recommend changes to increase impact of each program, and stand-up new initiatives that help ensure Content Security remains a thought leader in the Media & Entertainment industry.

The candidate must possess the necessary skills to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity and rapid change. The person will facilitate key technical initiatives, including organizing communication strategies for key projects. A strong sense of design and a desire to make chaos into order are imperative.

The candidate can zoom out to a 30,000-foot view and create a plan, then zoom in to 30 feet and execute.

Specific Responsibilities

Oversight over the following programs and functions: Training & Awareness, Budgeting, Executive Communications, third-party resource management.

Facilitate the Annual Strategic Planning process for each function across the organization.

Manage strategic and technical programs and projects to complete cross-functional initiatives including but not limited to:

Media platform assessments for content and cyber security

Assessment and remediation projects for compliance against Content Security and Information Security policies/procedures and requirements

Developing with the MPA’s Trusted Partner Network industry content security requirements and policies

Qualifications

7+ years of content or information security experience in a fast-paced dynamic environment

Strong technical and security fundamentals, examples may include:

Familiarity with information security / cyber security programs

Familiarity with media and entertainment operations and workflows

Familiarity with identity and access management architecture

Familiarity with cloud security, migrations, and workflows

Demonstrated successful execution of technology, cloud or security programs and projects.

Examples may include cloud infrastructure assessments, web application security projects, technology or media platform assessments or migrations, penetration testing and security controls testing, or engineering product and program management.

Demonstrated experience managing complex, cross-functional technology and security-related projects including stakeholder management, work breakdown structures and resource management.

Excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to interact with a diverse set of stakeholders including engineers and executives.

Strong demonstrated ability to successfully manage technical programs and projects.

Ability to create and coordinate the creation of world-class executive-level communication artifacts including design and presentation skills.

Sky-high Emotional Intelligence.

Experience in the media and entertainment industry is a plus.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent job experience is required.

A graduate degree with a focus on business or engineering is strongly preferred.

The hiring range for this position in California is $149,240 to $200,200 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
