Patrols and responds to calls throughout all areas of the hospital. Maintains a safe/secure environment for patients, employees and visitors by upholding applicable Federal/State laws and CVHP policies in an effective and tactful manner. Although tasks are performed within established departmental operating procedures, decision-making is varied and performed routinely under moderate pressure and occasionally under extreme stress.Job RequirementsM inimum Education Requirement :High School Diploma or equivalent. 13-24 months accredited training program.b.Minimum Experience Requirement :One year experience in security, law enforcement or military is required. Must be familiar with hospital environment. Must have working knowledge of electronics, access control system, electronics locking hardware, CCTV. Must have strong communication skills. Excellent customer service skills required.c.Minimum License Requirement :Valid California Guard Card and California Driver’s License are required. American Heart Association - BLS card, Assaultive Behavior certification, and Baton and Pepper spray must be obtained within three months of hire date. Must be 21 years of age or older; must have two (2) years of continuous driving experience in the state of California. If a license is suspended, the experience record begins from the time of license reinstatement; must have no major convictions (ie DUI/DWI, hit and run, driving w/suspended license, reckless driving, eluding police, open containers, exhibition of speed (racing), negligent driving); must have no more than one (1) moving citation in a three (3) year period; must have no more than one (1) at- fault accident in a three (3) year period. Accidents will be considered at-fault unless evidence is provided (ie police report and/or letter from insurance company) showing the incident as not at-fault.Delivering world-class health care one patient at a time.We are more than just a health system.
