Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Analyst I

The County of Nevada seeks a GIS Analyst to perform a variety of technical and general assignments, which include, but are not limited to, developing and maintaining various GIS mapping layers; maintaining a versioned, replicated Enterprise GIS system; publishing map services and configuring a web application builder to consume services; performing spatial analysis and map production; managing, designing, and executing data integration or creating workflow specifications and systems in support of other county departments; conducting feasibility studies and integrating commercial software; installing, diagnosing, programming and developing custom applications for County GIS users; and performing related work as required.
Minimum requirements include graduation from an accredited college or university with a degree in geographic information systems, planning, geography, physical science, forestry, information systems, computer science, cartography, or a closely related field, plus two years of experience participating in automated mapping and analysis. GIS, ArcGIS Desktop, and relational database experience is preferred.
