The Position:
Under direct or general supervision, performs a variety of semi-skilled work in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, repair, and operation of the wastewater collections system consisting of 126 miles of sewers and 14 lift stations throughout the City; assists with and performs routine maintenance of wastewater collection equipment; performs other related work as required.
Typical Duties:
Performs maintenance, repairs and inspections to the wastewater collection system facilities; operates a variety of collection system maintenance equipment and tools including hand and power tools, heavy equipment, video inspection systems, and monitoring devices; enters and works in confined spaces; safely stores and handles chemicals; performs trench excavation and shoring.
Wage Ranges (Effective January 10, 2021):
Maintenance Specialist I: $1,541.25-$1,958.49 biweekly
Maintenance Specialist II: $1,771.71-$2,250.89 biweekly
