We are looking for a Symitar/SQL Development Engineer to join a federal credit union that provides financial tools to help members save for their future, get financing for their homes and cars, and much more. This is a direct hire, onsite role located in Hawthorne, CA. This role is focused on the programming, operation, and maintenance of our key business systems, including our Symitar core banking system, our ARCU data warehouse, and other ancillary systems. This role will be performing system analysis and design, creating business requirement documentation, programming, and the implementation of the system changes and improvements. In addition, this role performs the administration, monitoring and maintenance and support of the financial core applications.
What You Will Do:- Serve as a subject matter expert for Symitar Episys and ARCU.
- Working with stakeholders, analyze, design software changes, and recommend process improvements.
- Conducts research and detailed analysis of defined system specifications and develops detailed program specifications and logic flowcharts for use in coding and documenting the system's software programs.
- Develop, test, and implement agreed upon system changes, RepGen’s, etc.
- Design and development of reports and dashboards using ARCU and Microsoft Power BI.
- Work with vendors to support, upgrade and maintain applications.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
- Extensive experience in application development (e.g., Symitar Power On, Microsoft .NET Framework, HTML, JavaScript, etc.)
- Extensive experience in programming, troubleshooting, and maintaining Symitar and ARCU.
- Advanced skill in T-SQL and Microsoft PowerBI
- Experience developing robotic process automation processes a plus (preferably using UiPath).
- Proficient project management skills.
- Ability to communicate complex technical issues to non-technical audiences.
- Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills.
