We are looking for a Systems Engineer to join a federal credit union that provides financial tools to help members save for their future, get financing for their homes and cars, and much more. This is a direct hire, onsite role located in Hawthorne, CA. This position is responsible for designing, planning, implementing, maintaining, and providing general technical support for the Credit Union’s data storage and computing devices, including evaluation, configuration, patch management, and repair of networked computing resources (hardware and software), validation of system configuration, and change management on designated systems.
What You Will Do:- Provides engineering expertise for server, data storage and endpoint computing infrastructure.
- Responsible for setting up, configuring, and maintaining all server, data storage and endpoint computing hardware and software, including server and workstation operating systems.
- Manages and maintains our physical and virtual server infrastructure.
- Manages and maintains our data storage infrastructure.
- Manages and maintains our data backup system.
- Manages and maintains our patch management system.
- Manages and maintains our server and workstation security systems, including endpoint protection and data encryption systems.
- Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer or other relevant IT certifications are highly recommended.
- Prior work experience with a financial services company a plus.
- 5+ years engineering hands-on experience in Microsoft Windows server operating systems management and maintenance.
- 5+ years hands-on experience in management and maintenance of Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy.
- 5+ years hands-on experience in management and maintenance of a VMWare hypervisor environment.
- 3+ years hands-on experience deploying patches in an enterprise environment
