Job Description
Software Development Manager Hawthorne, CA Contract to hire or Direct DOE Immediate hire with growing company. Successful candidate will provide effective and efficient design support during the conceptual design, detailed design, integration, and test phases of a software development program, with the goal of achieving on-time completion of assigned tasks. Develop approach relative to software architecture and software design. Monitor progress, mentor and train employees, and make adjustments to assignments and team in order to ensure meeting schedule. Drives continuous improvement initiatives in the areas of software development, processes, and product quality. Ensure adequate resources to support multiple programs/products simultaneously. Prepare and present design, analysis, and test case summary material during internal and external design reviews. Ensure software products are mature, high quality and maintainable. Develop and foster a teaming environment, using collaboration tools and process Agile development. Support business development activities by providing assistance and/or leadership during proposal efforts. Documentation of Software designs using online tools Jira, Confluence. Set expectations and evaluates employee performance. Mentors and trains employees Required Skills:- BS or MS in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent experience
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in the field of Software Development
- Extensive leadership experience, including definition of software requirements
- Extensive experience with embedded software coding and algorithm development using programming language
- Experience in C, C++, Java, Linux, MATLAB, Python, Bash and other object oriented programming languages
- Experience in Agile Development process
- Graphical User Interface design experience a plus
- Experienced in writing detailed test plans and procedures
