Job Description - IT Support Temp Hollywood

Title

IT Support Temp Duration - 6 months Location - Hollywood, CA

Description

We are currently in need of a temporary I.T. position (intern) at our Hollywood Facility. The person will be trained on and in charge of imaging our new Mac's, PC's, copying over end user data, and making sure all current user applications are deployed on their new machine. This is all done under the supervision of our IT Support Tech. The candidate does not need previous support experience. If they have a great work ethic, then they will have the opportunity to work at one of the coolest company's and learn from some of the best techs. This is primarily a MAC environment and is a paid position.

Responsibilities

  • Support Technician will be responsible for configuring and installing software for IT users' Macs, PC's. Maintain hardware and support mobile work force.
  • Provide Tier 1 support to end users.
  • Ensuring the performance and availability of hardware and software as it pertains to printers, network, and communication systems.
  • Must be able to work from our Hollywood office during normal business hours. Though other work hours may be performed remotely as well.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

  • Administrative knowledge of Macs
  • Excellent technical knowledge Mac/PC hardware.
  • Ability to read and understand technical manuals, procedural documentation, and OEM guides.
  • Ability to conduct research into MAC, PC issues and products as required.
  • Effective interpersonal, oral communication, written communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to present ideas in non-technical language.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-motivated and directed, with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Strong customer-service orientation.
  • Previous experience working the Apple Genius Bar or Apple Mac Phone Support a plus, but not required.

Work Conditions

  • Must be able to lift approximately 50lbs (i.e. large monitor or small computer).
  • Must be willing to be administered weekly COVID-19 tests (required by city ordinance to work in office).
