Direct Hire PCB/Backplane Designer - rmote, significant West Coast hoursSalary 140000-185000 (negotiable)Our client is a high quality component and systems manufacturing organization. They are a global company that designs and manufactures solutions for electronic packaging. Currently seeking a Sr. Backplane Designer. The ideal candidate will have experience within a technology company and possess a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence. In this position, you will design backplanes, maintain the designs and manufacturing documents.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Design backplanes for moderate to complex systems according to design requirements outlined by customers, mechanical and electrical engineers
  • Work with customers and designers to ensure accurate product specifications.
  • Ensure the electrical design is accurate and fulfills requirements.
  • Take all design aspects of product development from concept to production including modification of layouts, testing and working with engineering staff
  • Support technicians for RMA issues
The individual must have the following minimum qualifications:
  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering, but not required
  • 3 years of experience in PCB design
  • Experienced in PCB design for high-current and high-speed applications
  • Experienced in libraries and schematic capture
  • Understanding of fundamentals of electronics, mechanical requirements and drawings, DFM rules
  • Understanding of Signal Integrity concepts and reports, and their PCB implications
  • Good analytical skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining quality design
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of tools
  • Experience with rigid-flex-rigid PCB design and proficiency at Altium Designer are considered a plus
