The Finance Technician is responsible for supporting the Compensation Specialist in maintaining all of the payroll systems of the clinical network that is Open Door Community Health Centers. In addition, the Finance Technician will work to ensure the accurate reporting, and updating of all payroll records. This position requires a detail-oriented, organized individual who can support the Compensation Specialist and prioritize projects to meet deadlines. Strong computer skills and the ability to take direction needed. Four year degree (or equivalent experience) preferred.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sorts and distributes interdepartmental mail from courier
Verifies and prepares deposits for Site Front Desk Settlements
Reconciles and posts petty cash to A/P
Reconciles and processes credit card statements
Matches receiving docs and invoices for selected online vendors
Back up and support for Finance Technicians
Adherence to ODCHC's attendance policy
Other duties and responsibilities as designated by supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to establish constructive working relationships with all levels of employees in a staff of varied and diver backgrounds
Four year degree (or equivalent experience) preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Ability to read and comprehend instructions and compose correspondence and memos
Strong attention to detail
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Ability to solve problems involving standardized situations
Computer skills with database and spreadsheet software
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or GED and two years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
