Job Description

Several positions currently available.

Shift availability depends on the needs of the individual client.

We have open shifts for 8-3, 3-10 and Overnight shifts (10p-8a- some are sleeping and some are up at night).

Radiant Living is a Supported Living Service Agency employing teams of Direct Support Professionals to work 1:1 with people. The people we support have a wide variety of challenges which can include: Cognitive, Developmental, Behavioral, Physical Disabilities and also disabilities such as Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, and Autism. We also support people who have Mental Health and Behavioral Challenges as well as those who are Aging or have higher medical needs.

Team members work one on one with individuals providing support for them to be able to live in their own homes, access and participate in community and live a life of their own choosing.

As each person is an individual with interests and abilities and a life unique to them, the types of things DSPs might help a person with could include: a wheelchair ride along the Waterfront, a day hike to Headwaters, getting immersed in a collaborative art project, coloring to relaxing music, a dress up dance party in the living room, learning ZOOM to talk to friends, planting a Victory Garden, creating a cookbook with pictures and everything, a picnic in the sun or a three-day camping trip.

DSPs help the person to learn household and life skills such as how to prepare a fun meal of sushi, how to sweep the floor effectively, or how to do laundry without white socks turning pink! DSPs also help the person to identify and reach personal goals such as learning to meditate, run in a marathon, identify birds at the Marsh, or making and mailing birthday cards to their friends and family throughout the year. DSPs implement behavioral plans that help the person to be able to participate more fully in life.

DSPs also provide support with medical and other appointments, medication administration, personal care, and behavioral support, household chores such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, and assistance with shopping and other errands.

We support people in their homes and community 24/7 365 days a year.
