Job Title: Human Resources Technician - Recruitment and Training

Division: Executive

Section: Human Resources

Location: Potawot Health Village, Arcata

Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

We have a great opening for a talented individual who wants to make a difference in improving processes and partnering with hiring managers to find the best talent out there. You will own the process from requisition to new employee orientation. Additionally you will expand the role to become a key resource in employee training and development.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Proficient attention to detail.

Excellent follow up skills.

Ability to multi- task and work under pressure.

Excellent organization skills

Superb customer service skills.

Ability to operate standard office equipment (copier, fax, etc.).

Must be able to work with American Indian people and be sensitive to their culture.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Educational degrees must be from a US Department of Education accredited school.

High School Diploma and 2 or more years of work experience in an administrative capacity, preferably in human resources, recruiting, or sales.

Knowledge of Human Resources role and function.

Experience in marketing and/or recruiting required.

COMPUTER OPERATIONS

Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.

Proficient internet research and posting.

LANUGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Must possess a valid drivers' license.

Must be able to be insured under the agency's vehicle policy.

Must provide proof of valid private vehicle insurance.
