LOOKING FOR A PLANT LOVER TO JOIN OUR TEAM
We are an established landscape company that has been creating and maintaining gardens for residents of Humboldt County for over 25 years and we are looking for a well rounded, enthusiastic individual who likes working outdoors, has an eye for detail and who will enjoy serving our clients and working in their gardens.
We take an organic approach to landscaping and our services include installing and maintaining trees, shrubs, annuals, perennials and edibles; installing and maintaining drip irrigation; aesthetic pruning. We use a variety of hand tools and battery powered tools such as hedge shears, string trimmers and blowers (no mowing).
We are looking for individuals who are rooted in the community, who are looking for long term employment and who would like to be a part of a dynamic, hard working crew.
This is a variable, part-time position. Hours will vary by season, scope of work and individual's skill sets. Ideally the applicant will have at least 2-4 days available Monday through Friday.
Miles driven between jobs or to pick up/drop off materials are reimbursed.
Applicant must:
Have prior professional experience in landscape, horticulture or nursery work or have equivalent experience (homesteading, farming or orchard work).
Have reliable transportation (preferably a truck without a shell in order to haul mulch and green waste).
Have a positive attitude and look presentable.
Be prepared to work in all weather conditions.
Be able to manage your time on the job site and take detailed notes.
Be self motivated and take initiative.
Be organized and keep tools in excellent working condition.
Have a smart phone for communication throughout the day.
Be physically fit and able to spend the day weeding, digging or pruning.
Have a clean driving record.
