Consistently uphold standards of confidentiality
Client intake as it relates to Social Security Disabilities
Follow up with clients for case updates and deadlines
File claims and appeals with the SSA
Review and code incoming documents into the system
Communicate with the SSA to assemble packets for clients
File hard copies of documents and maintain electronic document system
Assist in preparation of exhibit binders for depositions, hearings and trials
Draw up various documents and correspondence
Take incoming phone calls, lending an extra ear when phone lines are busy
Requirements
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-pressure environment, to prioritize tasks and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent through each task performed
High-level skills in Internet research, calendaring, word processing and spreadsheets
Sound written and verbal communication skills
Eagerness to take initiative and learn quickly
Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
Previous legal work experience and a dedication to integrity
Bilingual in English and Spanish (highly preferred)
Knowledge of Social Security disability laws
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Working knowledge of EAMS
