Sonoma Technology is looking for a field technician to assist with whole air and substrate sample collection for offline analyses, as well as operation and maintenance of scientific instrumentation to support air quality and meteorological measurement projects.

Key Responsibilities
Collect whole air canister and PUF substrate samples, according to the project schedule
Assist with routine operations and maintenance of air quality and meteorological instruments
Assist with troubleshooting of instruments, data acquisition systems, software, and related equipment on an as-needed basis
Assist with project coordination and logistics
Assist in communicating project information to project managers
Manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Required Qualifications and Skills
Experience completing sample collections according to a project schedule
Experience following sample collection protocols
Reliability and dependability in making field site visits
Proficiency with computer hardware and software
A strong interest in outdoor field projects
A high level of accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
Excellent organizational, time management, problem solving, and interpersonal skills
Aptitude for working both collaboratively and independently, as required
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and a reliable vehicle
Desired Qualifications
A BS degree in an environmental or physical science
Experience in a field technician role
Experience with air quality and/or meteorology measurements
Experience with data communications equipment
Knowledge of analog and digital data acquisition
