Automotive Technician Professional High-Performance
Full Time Position IMMEDIATELY available in San Diego, CA. Compensation Based on Skills & Experience.
Automotive Technician Professional wanted, come join us in car guy and technician heaven, in our 25,000sq ft, 70 degree mean Southern California facility since 1985. Work daily on our customer’s clean classic cars, muscle cars, and hot rods from all eras. Applicants must have subject matter expertise in electrical diagnostics and ICE(Internal Combustion Engine) V8 engines (OHV, SOHC, DOHC). A strong background in engine dynamics, drivetrain, chassis, and suspension for mechanical restoration required. Expertise in upgrades of domestic high performance cars and light trucks including emission, fuel injection, carburation and forced induction is key. Racing background a plus and ASE certifications preferred.
Endless customer demand for our JBA domestic high-performance parts and service operation translates into 17 bays where 80-100 cars are underway weekly. We need you today!

Automotive Service Writer Professional wanted, this is a unique and rare career opportunity to join Southern California’s best Performance shop. Excellence at estimating, job planning all while meeting BAR best practices are a center piece for JBA a domestic high-performance parts and service operation where approximately dozens of cars are underway weekly. Strong product knowledge on classic cars like Mustangs, '60's Muscle Cars, hot rods from all eras, late-models 80’s -‘00’s up to late model Hellcats - Shelby Mustangs are desired.
Applicants must have a minimum of 5-years of experience within the automotive service industry (specifically domestic brands). The applicant must have knowledge of engines (full service in-house machine shop and dyno) as well as an understanding of parts sourcing. Being comfortable multi-taking in a busy fast-pace business environment where teamwork matters, is key. Strength a plus in:
Solid understanding of basic and advanced automotive machining principles
Previous automotive high performance machine shop experience with OHV, SOHC, DOHC, internal combustion engines
Minimum of 5+ years' experience as a Automotive Machinist
Skilled at manual machine tools including mill, lathes, surface grinders, rod shop, hone, boring bar, headshop etc.
Ability to analyze and comprehend balancing, blueprinting, custom machining, and assembly
